Mahone Bay Father Christmas

 For 19 years the Father Christmas Festival has been bringing visitors to the Mahone Bay to experience its seaside charm. The Magic of Christmas will be celebrated starting November 24 through December 24

The Bayview Community School Harry Potter volunteers will stage their creations with "Christmas at Hogwarts,”with a brand new Yule Ball addition. The Fantasy is open November 24-26 and December 1-3 in support of Bayview and the Mahone Bay Centre.

A full-size Elf on the Shelf will travel through town each night, marking the days until Christmas. 

"Christmas Card Corner" will invite families and friends into a picture-perfect outdoor scene to take home a Mahone Bay memory to share.

The fifth year of the Reindeer Fun Run will see 400 participants light up the night in reindeer antler headpieces, red noses, costumes, and bling. ItThis 3km run/walk starts at 6pm on a closed course along Main Street. Cheer teams and musicians will line the route. The Run that Gives will benefit "Shoes for Kids," All funds for this program go to purchasing shoes for the South Shore schools, local churches and Schools Plus a group helping at risk families.

Saturday Nov 25 is a Market Day in the Bay! A new Winter Vintage Market will give European market vibes, featuring artisans, music and food along Main Street from Noon to 7 pm.

Trinity United Church Holiday Market is hosting a soup luncheon along with a makers market, music and some regifting ... yes, please.

St. John’s Lutheran Church will be holding Christmas Market and Holiday Bake Sale.

Also on the 25th, the Mahone Bay Centre is hosting a full day of activities: A Merry Mahone Bay Market, Drive Thru Decorating Kits of Gingerbread and Tiny Trees, Book Sale, and an evening of entertainment by the South Shore Summer Theatre at their Cozy Christmas Cabaret, starting at 7pm.
