Again this year I have been hearing the arguments around Christmas and how it should not be heard about or any signs of it seen until after Remembrance Day. I was talking with one lady that has a long family military history and she was telling me that her decorations were up November 1st. She said the wars were fought so we could have freedom and she was using that to start celebrating Christmas whenever she wanted. There have been studies conducted to actually show the people that decorate for Christmas early are happier.
So maybe you are not feeling the urge to decorate yet, but you still enjoy that warm fuzzy feel the holidays bring. Well a movie might be the answer. Hallmark has been going with that assumption for years and already have a month of Christmas flicks under there belt again this year. I have not caught any movies with Christmas in the barn and the classic red truck delivering trees yet, but this weekend I hope to. The reason I plan to tune in Saturday night is the movie “Christmas Island.” I am excited to see how many landmarks will look familiar since much of it was filmed in Lunenburg.
