How real would you want a movie experience to be?
Imagine sitting in the bushes watching Jurassic Park when the dinosaurs are walking through the woods. Do you want to watch Titanic sitting on a floating door?
What about watching a shark flick sitting in the water? Well that chance is offered up this summer in Alberta. If you can get out there or have anyone that lives near Sylvan Lake, let them know they can watch a classic shark attack with their feet dangling on the water… JAWS on August 5th.
This Summer You can Watch JAWS While you Float in Sylvan Lake – and it’s Free
I have always been a huge drive-in movie fan. As teenagers a friend’s Dad would park the car at the Skyview and a bunch of us would watch the movie. I was looking forward to the day I would be able to drive there myself, but before I turned 16, the last local drive-in had already closed. I have made the trip to the Valley Drive In a few times to catch a flick on the big outdoor screen.
Now you can catch a movie on the big screen in Bridgewater thanks to Fresh Air Films. Their next movie will be “The Iron Giant” next Friday, July 21, 2023 in Woodland Gardens at dusk.
I challenge you to catch a movie in the great outdoors this year.
There’s just something about being unprotected by a roof watching a movie and some productions really play into that.
Could you imagine how you would feel seeing Twister for the first time when the tornado hits the drive-in?
