I remember the Boss singing the song “57 channels and nothing on”… seems if you are with a certain cable provider your channel count will be dropping significantly next month.
Eastlink has announced that they are dropping all Corus stations by the end of June. Now when I read that I thought to myself, how bad can that be? Well this decision will drop 33 channels and some big ones too. The biggest one that pops out to me with children in the house, Treehouse!

Eastlink Customers Losing 33 TV Channels In Company’s Lineup
Could this be the beginning of the end for TV viewing as we know it?
I notice a lot of people asking online about what is offered by competitors. We have service with a competitor so I am not too concerned by this announcement, but in the back of my mind I wonder if all TV service providers will follow Eastlink’s lead? I also see some people talking about a Fire Stick, is that the answer? Is it just better to walk away from traditional TV and watch what you search out online?
As the cost of most things is predicted to increase this year when fuel takes a big jump in July, it will be interesting to see how things play out.
