What a weekend that was. Back after quite the storm. For those that are still without power, the restoration times on the NS Power outage map say that you should have light today, so fingers crossed.
As we enter this third week of January 2022, it has been a long start to the year already. I say that, just watching what has been happening. Even if we don’t look at CoVid and high numbers/restrictions.
I saw a lot of people complaining about having to shovel and the questionable travel conditions over the weekend, but I can’t help but think, could be A LOT worse. The past number of days, my thoughts have been with a fellow community theatre actor and vice principal I had at NGRHS that lost his home. I have always feared a house fire and to think how quickly a home can be lost.
The happy part of the story is that the community is coming together to help and with 10 days left on the GoFundMe that has been set up, over $50,000 has already been raised to help.
