Here it is, the last day of 2021!
As we get ready to welcome the new year, I can’t help but to think back to last New Year’s Eve where the discussion was that the year was less than great and the new year “has to be better”. I think it has been proven over the past 365 days that the year owes us nothing.
Each morning we have the ‘Words of Wisdom’ and in searching for those I often find quotes about happiness and making the best of situations. A challenge to say the least after months and months of uncertainty, being in and out of lock downs and restrictions, but one I wish we could all try.
This morning I see a number of retail workers posting how horribly they have been treated by customers. Over this past year especially there seems to be a growing dislike for other people in many and that is scary to watch. It’s not only in retail either. Articles like this one, it is a shame that we have gone from referring to our “front line workers” as heroes to a place where messages asking folks not to threaten healthcare workers are needed.

I am like many, not big on new year’s resolutions, but this year let’s consider making one.
I think if we can acknowledge that this past year has been hell for most and the uncertainty of when things will settle is frustrating to say the least. Maybe if we try something like this, it may help.
In 2022 let’s all try this resolution, to do our best to be kind to everyone we interact with every day. Sounds cheesy I know, but near as I can see, it can’t hurt.
Going to wrap up this final post of the year with a favorite New Year’s quote from a favorite country artist. My wish for all of you:
“Tomorrow, is the first blank page of a 365 page book. Write a good one.”
