The Knot Pub in Lunenburg has experienced their second theft since the pandemic began.
Owner Denyse Flower said between last night and this morning, someone broke into the restaurant’s outdoor freezer and stole four boxes of haddock along with a box of shrimp.
Flower says although it was only a loss of a few hundred dollars, its still upsetting.
“At the end of the day, it doesn’t make or break our business,” said Flower. “It’s just disheartening.”
She said it’s even more disheartening that someone could do this when restaurants are already going through a tough time.
“After 33 years, I’m back in the hot seat, probably working 100 hours per week, and then you have people stealing from you,” Flower explained.
She is asking anyone with information, or that can identify the suspect in the surveillance photos to contact the RCMP.
