Jennifer Naugler is the Liberal candidate running in the riding of Lunenburg West.
Naugler has lived and volunteered in the community for most of her life, and spent a total of six years on the elected school board.
She says healthcare is the number one issue she’s hearing about from her constituents.
“Our Liberal government is focused on doctor recruitment and retention, more seats at Dalhousie for doctors, nurses and nurse practitioners, and also offering virtual health as a pilot program for the next year, so anyone without doctors can access a doctor through this service,” explained Naugler.
She added the Liberals will also continue to address health care in Lunenburg County specifically.
“Our investment in the South Shore Regional Hospital Revitalization Project has been an ongoing project with expansion to the ER and the MRI addition,” said Naugler.” So that’s one area I think all of the residents of the South Shore will see the effects from and benefit from.”
She says the Liberals plan to continue focusing on this project and they have it calculated into their budget over the next several years.
She adds that the Liberals also plan to address the housing crisis by dedicating $25 million to implement recommendations from the Affordable Housing Commission.
Naugler is running against NDP candidate Merydie Ross, PC Becky Druhan and Green candidate Eric Wade in Lunenburg West.
