The Town of Bridgewater wants clarity on the school review process.
Consultant Alphonse MacNeil suggested 11 recommendations needed to be made to improve the review.
The school board accepted his report and decided it would continue the Bridgewater-Park View process in September.
Mayor David Walker wants to know what that means.
“Does that mean they are just restarting the old process or does it mean they are restarting the process based on the recommendations from the MacNeil report?”
The report also suggested there could be a lack of public trust in the school board and the process.
Walker wants to know the next steps.
“Our view is a process based on recommendations from the MacNeil report makes sense. But, if all they’re going to do now is send the report off to the minister to consider over the next several years than we haven’t learned anything.”
He says council plans on writing a letter to the school board chair.
