Lunenburg District RCMP are investigating a series of thefts from unlocked vehicles – dozens since June this year.
Recently, 12 vehicles were targeted in the Lower Branch Road area, and a total of 43 vehicles across Lunenburg County over the last five months.
Numerous valuables, and small items were stolen as a result.
Police are also reminding the public to keep doors locked on vehicles, homes, garages, and outbuildings.
In addition, you’re encouraged to keep items like ATVs and power tools out of sight, especially overnight.
Property owners can take further steps like installing outdoor lights, motion sensors or trail cameras to deter thieves.
RCMP continue to follow leads in a number of these thefts but are asking the public to help by being safety conscious and to report anything suspicious.
Anyone with information relating to any of these thefts are encouraged to call their local RCMP Detachment.
