There will be no NDP candidate in South Shore–St. Margaret’s in the upcoming federal election.
Brendan Mosher, who had been preparing to run, announced he has decided not to move forward with his candidacy, citing last-minute delays and personal timing. His decision leaves the riding without a representative from the New Democratic Party on the final list of candidates.
In a public post, Mosher expressed disappointment about the outcome, saying he originally intended to run but felt now was not the right time. He urged voters to carefully review what each candidate has to offer and emphasized the importance of choosing someone who will represent all residents of the region.
The confirmed candidates for South Shore–St. Margaret’s are:
-
Rick Perkins, Conservative Party of Canada (incumbent)
-
Jessica Fancy-Landry, Liberal Party of Canada
-
Mark Embrett, Green Party of Canada
-
Patrick Shea Boyd, People’s Party of Canada
-
Hayden Henderson, Independent
The absence of an NDP name on the ballot means voters in South Shore–St. Margaret’s will have five choices this election.
