Nova Scotia has earned a spot on Travel + Leisure magazine’s prestigious list of the 50 Best Places to Travel in 2025.
The province was recognized for its scenic coastal beauty, growing accessibility, and unique outdoor attractions, landing in the category “For Moments on the Water.”
It is one of only two Canadian destinations featured, alongside the Yukon.
The article highlights several of Nova Scotia’s iconic experiences, including visits to Sable Island National Park Reserve, known for its wild horses and gray seal colony, and Cape Breton Island, home to Cape Breton Highlands National Park and dramatic Atlantic cliffside hikes.
Dave Ritcey, Minister of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage, celebrated the announcement. “We are thrilled to be acknowledged in the prestigious list of the 50 Best Places to Travel in 2025,” said Ritcey. “Nova Scotia’s unique charm and scenic coastlines draw visitors from around the world. It’s great to see our province and tourism industry receiving recognition as a world-class vacation destination.”
The recognitions should hopefully help boost the provincial tourism sector as Travel + Leisure has over 15 million followers across it’s social media platforms as well as reportedly over 16 million monthly readers.
