I remember when I was a kid, the people that had the gigantic satellite dishes for TV in their home, they were the envy of the home entertainment world. Imagine all the options! At this time, we still had the off air feed with two and a half channels… since one would only come in for a few hours when the weather was perfect and no birds flew by. We did get a top load VCR, that was awesome! Even had a ‘remote’ with a 4 foot cord so you didn’t have to walk the last step and go right up to the device and the TV, haha.
Then we get to cable TV. Lots of options, but everything changes and as time goes on the song “57 channels and Nothing On” became a more common experience.
As internet evolved from having to keep track of online time with speeds that could barely send an email, we were able to actually watch programs on the internet.
Streaming goes from one service provider to now a gazillion options, life is great right?
Well, as always, things change and now the prices are increasing on streaming services. Netflix, the often common go to, is upping its prices. Now I know it is a couple dollars here, three dollars there, but it does add up.
Netflix says it’s raising its prices. Here’s how much more Canadian subscribers will have to pay
Are you bothered by the increase, or is just a part of life and “everything is going up’? Will increases cause you to cut back on the number of streaming services you have??
Was getting rid of an actual cable subscription still a good idea??? As you ponder those questions, here is what Netflix used to offer… just imagine, haha
Just curious to know where your mind is at with streaming services going up. One good thing that has not changed, radio is still FREE!
