Today is “Ditch New Year’s Resolutions Day” and for that reason I don’t feel bad posting about this topic.
Even if you vowed to stop the treats in 2025, chances are you are ready to break that promise by now anyway.
I remember years ago the Cherry Blossom was supposed to become extinct, but then it still remained, or came back, I am not sure how it happened.
I like maraschino cherries and this treat wrapped one in cherry syrup surrounded by a chocolate shell with nut pieces. It is one of those things that I enjoyed the odd time, yet even the pictures can make my teeth hurt, haha. So much sweetness!
This time it looks like this chocolate cherry bomb is gone for good.
Seeing the online reactions, it seems there will not be too many people breaking down in tears when they can no longer find Cherry Blossoms on store shelves, even though it has been around since the 1800s. I can’t say it was one that could be commonly found to begin with. It’s not like the Mr. Big bar that is found everywhere. It was even the feature treat from the canteen when Dad and I used to go to the cattle sales in Bridgewater.
After digging a bit deeper, I found that when it comes to favorite chocolate bars, Canadians are looking for a break, haha

I will leave you with the old commercial for Cherry Blossoms from the 70’s. A VERY 1970’s feeling ad for sure. Enjoy
