It is a day that seems like it needs some attention since it celebrates the smokey deliciousness of processed pork.  Happy Bacon Lovers Day!
Seems like today is a rough day for pigs as ham is also being celebrated on pizza today for Hawaiian Pizza Day.  That stirs the ongoing controversy around pineapple being found on pizza.  It was a Canadian idea and I have to say I enjoy it, but for now, let’s get back to BACON.

 

There are many ideas suggested for celebrating the day dedicated to salty smokey pork pieces.  A Bacon Bonanza Breakfast, or what about a Bacon-Themed Costume Party? haha
I think I will stick to the traditional Bacon Recipe Exchange.  This time of year I would have to say one of my favorite bacon dishes would be a toasted tomato sandwich with cheese and BACON.  That idea is mentioned in this list of loved bacon recipes, along with hundreds of suggested dishes online.  A simple search for “Top Bacon Recipes” will give you days of reading about dishes that will get your mouth watering.  I decided to just grab these few and on this list the one that makes me the most curious is the Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies…
