In just over a week the big guy in red will be climbing down the chimney and filling our stockings, making for a very exciting Christmas morning.
Filled with needed items like soap, deodorant, tooth care products along with underwear and of course Christmas socks, the stocking has always been fun to open. There is a sense of knowing what might be found, but then there are always some unknowns in the stocking too. The orange has always been a standard item, but I think the most tasty part is the candy.
As I think back to Christmases gone by I remember chocolate mints were always found in the stocking and then the sweetest story book ever, the Life Savers Christmas Book. Remember?
Well looks like that is now a thing of the past as of this year.
No storybook ending for Life Savers fans this Christmas
Sad that today’s children in Canada will miss out on this tasty tradition, but I guess it is the chance to start a new tradition. If you are looking for a replacement book I see that Skittles and M&Ms have something similar.
There is quite a story around Life Savers, still available in Canada, just not in book form.
