It is a real sense of accomplishment when you are able to train an animal. It is a pleasure to be around a well-behaved pet and if that animal can do tricks or respond to commands, that is even more impressive. Last night at Music on the Riverbank there was a dog, just amazingly well behaved even around the crowd, she just wanted to listen to the music too. Mom used to tell stories about pet sheep she had as a kid that were house trained. Growing up around the farm, there were a few critters that learned to do some neat things. I have had pigs that would oink conversations with me. The donkey has helped me round up calves and then there was the one calf that would moo for feed in a way she sounded lie she was asking for “MOOOOORRRRE”.
This cow training is in a whole different league. A four-year-old Charolais cow named ‘Ghost’ has quite the personality and performed 10 tricks in 60 seconds to set a world record.
The ‘world’s smartest cow’ has strong boundaries and knows what she wants
So how do you even begin to train an animal like Ghost? One of the biggest things is, it takes time. Here is a video to get you started.
When to can get you dog or cat to make your morning coffee like the Grinch did, then I want to see the video. The oversized reindeer that he found in the wild was even able to learn how to make coffee, haha.
