Earth Day is this Saturday and there are a few events going on around Bridgewater to celebrate our planet.
The town is putting on a Senses Storytime Walk, which will make frequent stops to read parts of a story as participants move around the Duck Pond Trail and use their senses to learn about and appreciate the things they see, hear, smell, and feel along the way.
The walk starts at 10:00 a.m., starting at Woodlawn Gardens.
You do need to register for the walk ahead of time which can be done online.
A community member has also taken it upon herself to organize a garbage cleanup across from Park View Education Centre.
In a Facebook post, Bailey Pickering has invited others to join her as she cleans up the area. Trash bags will be provided, but it’s asked that you bring your own gloves and grabbers if you wish to participate.
It will begin at 10:00 a.m., though people are invited to come down throughout the morning and help out.
