For the longest time they just thought dogs tilted their head when they were trying to hear better. Seems legit…but now new research shows that it could be a whole lot more. It could mean your dog is a smarty pants.
Researchers tested a bunch of dogs to see if they could learn and remember the names of different toys. Dogs that were “gifted word learners,” would tilt their heads when they recognized a word they loved. They believed the head-tilts had something to do with the dog accessing old memories.
Kinda cool right!!
But let’s be real…whether your dog tilts their head when you talk to them or not…They are still the “Best Pup That Ever Did Live”.
