Politicians are continuing to pound the pavement on Day 7 of the election campaign.
NDP Leader Gary Burrill will make an announcement about childcare in Fairview before hitting the streets in Fairview-Clayton Park and Halifax Chebucto.
That announcement will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday with local candidate Joanne Hussey at Titus Smith Memorial Park.
Tory leader Tim Houston will hold a media availability at 10 a.m. in Halifax to talk about doctor recruitment. Then he’ll head out to campaign with candidates in Antigonish, Victoria-The Lakes, and Northside-Westmount.
Liberal Leader Iain Rankin remains in Cape Breton where he’ll make a tourism announcement at the Highland Village Museum at 10 a.m. He’ll then tour Cape Breton and Truro, including Victoria-The Lakes, Inverness, Truro-Bible-Hill-Millbrook-Salmon River.
Meantime, the PC’s unveiled their full $553 million platform on Thursday with a focus on rebuilding the economy and improving healthcare.
The NDP promised to improve mental health care, while the Liberals released more details on their more than 600-million-dollar childcare deal with the feds, which would create 75-hundred new spots by 2026.
