A large number of vacant positions at an organization in Chester have prompted a campaign to recruit new staff members.
Bonny Lea Farm is looking for kind, caring, fun and creative individuals who want to be part of a team and accept differences in others to fill multiple full time, part time, and casual positions.
Executive Director, Karen Lake said the positions involve supporting those with intellectual disabilities in their everyday life.
“It could be anything from helping somebody with their breakfast in the morning, walking to work with them, going out to get groceries,” said Lake. “Whatever we would do in the run of a day, you could support somebody doing that.”
Lake said she believes finding new recruits has been a challenge across the sector due to COVID-19 and an increased demand in the healthcare field.
