The Riverfest Music Festival has been cancelled for a second straight summer.
The outdoor concert held at Fox Mountain was called off due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19.
The news was confirmed in a social media post on Saturday.
Riverfest has been a summer staple since its inception in 2004. The “Rock the Bush” event is organized by Country 100.7’s Jonathan Crouse.
In a post on the Riverfest Facebook page, it states a virtual event is being explored to give musicians a platform to perform.
It comes as the Exhibition Association of Nova Scotia announced on Thursday the traditional exhibition season would not take place in 2021 due to gathering limits and social distancing concerns.
