A bridge on the Bay to Bay Trail is shut down after a motor vehicle accident over the holidays.
The bridge, which is near Kenburn Street in Mahone Bay suffered extensive damage to one of its railings on Saturday after an unspecified vehicle had tried to cross the bridge and got stuck.
The Bay to Bay trail association board of directors says the bridge will remain closed until repairs are completed, and asks those using the trail to use an alternate entrance on Cemetery Road.
There was no indication as to how long the bridge would be closed or how much the repairs would cost.
The Bay to Bay Trail runs from Mahone Bay to Lunenburg.
