A South Shore team has claimed the Provincial Firefighters Curling Championship.
Chad Stevens’ rink from Chester took the crown this weekend in Bridgewater by going undefeated.
They beat Truro in six ends in the final.
The squad, which includes Dennis Stevens, Daniel Jessome, and Dave Richardson, will head to the Canadian Championships in Kelowna, BC next month.
Stevens won the National Firefighter’s title in 2016.
Meanwhile, Graeme Weagle and Taylour Stevens, also of Chester, captured the under-21 Nova Scotia Junior Doubles Curling Championship.
The duo defeated Lindsay Burgess and Jeff Meagher 7-3 in Sunday’s final at the Liverpool Curling Club.
