The Conservative candidate for South Shore – Margaret’s is not taking part in an all-candidates debate this weekend.
It is being hosted by the Nova Scotia Citizens’ Health Care Network on Sunday at the Best Western Plus in Cookville.
Provincial Coordinator, James Hutt, told our news room that invitations were sent out in July to each candidate.
However, Conservative Richard Clark declined the invitation last week.
The three other candidates – Richard Biggar of the Green Party, Bernadette Jordan of the Liberals and Alex Godbold of the NDP – are confirmed.
The debate will focus on health and inequality and include questions on poverty, privatization, health care for refugees and women’s health.
It is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. Further details of the debate can be found here.
