The Region of Queens Municipality has hired a new Chief Administrative Officer.
Mayor David Dagley says Chris McNeill's 25 years in government will be an asset to the municipality.
He says McNeill has the experience, skill and ability to help in their next stages of renewal and development.
"To grow the population, to grow the economy, to have additional people move to Queens, to create employmeny here and certainly all the other needs that come with increased population," he says.
Dagley says they have priorities they've carried through from 2017, and "we'll be reviewing our strategic priorities in Queens once Chris is on board."
McNeill is returning to Queens after nearly six years away to take on the new position.
He is expected to begin work in March.
