Tomorrow it’ll be all things beaver at the Mersey Tobeatic Research Institute.
MTRI is holding their annual March Break event, with this year’s theme being beavers.
Nicole Hubley, administrative assistant at the institute, says the event will be fun and educational.
“We’re going to have some guest speakers, we’re going to have some games, crafts, and activities as well as some snacks and some storytelling on beavers.”
Andrew Hebda, curator of zoology at the Natural History Museum in Halifax, will be one of those guest speakers.
They’ll also hear from also a trapper who will explain how beavers can be a nuisance to habitats.
“We want to be able to provide a fun day that kids, grown ups of all ages can come in, they can learn a little bit and also experience a little bit of what we do here,” says Hubley.
Beaver Day runs from 1 – 4:30 tomorrow at MTRI.
It’s free and all ages are welcome.
