The Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the South Shore Chapter of the Council of Canadians will take place on Wednesday, May 8, at 7 pm, at the St. James Church Hall, 14 Parish St., Mahone Bay. There will be a brief (approximately 15 minute) recap of the events the group has undertaken in the last year. That will be followed by a presentation by Ajay Parasram, titled “Power, Land, and Solidarity in the age of Decolonization”. The second Queens County Art Tour to be held Saturday and Sunday, 22-23 June 2024 from 10:00am to 4:00pm. The public are invited to join our artisans as they display and demonstrate their work, techniques, and inspirations at their studios and in local galleries in the beautiful and welcoming communities of Liverpool, Brooklyn, Moose Harbour, Port Medway, Beach Meadows, East Berlin, and Port Mouton, along the stunning Lighthouse route, and the Mersey and Medway rivers.Further information and tour maps are available from participating artisans as well as the Queens Visitor Information Centre on the waterfront at 28 Henry Hensey Drive, Liverpool. Galleries and studios that are open for viewing will be well marked with yellow balloons and flags. Admission to all studios is free!
